MEET THE STAFF
Owner and Head Groomer
Anne grew up with a lot of pets, everything from guinea pigs to dogs and cats to horses. She has raised and shown Quarter Horses for years, so animals have always been an important part of her life. She has been at Doggone Pretty, Inc. since the beginning when she opened the business in July 2007, and has been a part of the pet care industry when she had a summer job working for a groomer at age fifteen. She began as a vet technician and taught herself to groom before becoming a groomer instead. According to Anne, her favorite thing about working at Doggone Pretty, INC. is “the relationship I have built with my clients and their pets. I consider them friends and not just customers. Also, taking a dog or cat in need and helping them be happier, healthier pets. I hope to instill this in my employees and watch Doggone Pretty grow and prosper.” Anne has an Australian Cattle Dog named Skye Blue.
Olga has always been an animal person, but when she worked at Petsafe Village as a desk clerk, she realized she wanted to make them a major part of her life. She trained with Shelly, a master groomer at Petsafe Village, for a while before serving as a Petsafe groomer for several years. She came to Doggone Pretty, Inc. in December 2009. Her favorite thing about working here is “seeing those adorable faces of the dogs and cats, the customers, the co-workers and, of course, the beautiful mountain view on that hill.” She has seven dogs! Baby is a Rottweiler, Charlie is a Beagle, Zena is an Akita, Jazzy is a Pit mix, Emma is a Bichon-Poo, and Nina and Wishbone are Jack Russell mixes. She also has three Fruits Salad Tetras: Pinky, Louiee and Blouie.
GroomerCristen’s family always had pets so she grew up determined to work with animals. She began her career in spring 2002 with hands on training and teaching herself how to groom. She came to Doggone Pretty, Inc. in October 2011. She loves it here because it is a relaxed, clean environment with friendly staff and flexible hours that leave her time for her son, Ethan, and her furry (and not-so-furry) family. Ethan will be four in February but he already has his mom's love for dogs. His favorite thing to dress up and play pretend groomer on the dogs at home. They have four dogs: Diesel, Duice, Buster and Sparky, three cats: Shadow, Missy and Alyssa, and two fish: Sneeze and Pinky.
Sherry has always loved animals, and that brought her to Doggone Pretty, Inc. in August of 2009. This was her first time working in pet care, but she absolutely loves it. Her favorite thing about working here are the clients. Being greeted by happy, wagging tails each morning and owners smiling. She likes to make the animals feel special, and the owners leave knowing their pets are in good hands. Sherry has a Japanese Chin named Maiko.
Chelsea has loved animals since the day she was born. According to her parents, her first sentence was “I want a dog!” While other little girls were doing their Barbie’s hair, she was playing pet stylist with her puppy. When she came to Doggone Pretty, Inc. in early July 2009, it was a dream come true. She says, “You couldn’t ask for a better first job. I love it here. There is nothing better than getting covered in puppy kisses.” Chelsea has four animals running around the house, and all their names start with Cs. Clyde the Westie-Lhasa Mix, Comet the Bichon mix, and Cricket and Cherokee are a pair of spoiled rotten cats.
Jeremy is an animal lover at heart so he jumped at the chance to work with them. He started at Doggone Pretty, Inc. in September 2009. It may have been his first time working with animals but he could not wait to come to work everyday. He loves being with the animals and learning about all the different breeds. He has two Yorkshire Terriers named Annie and Phoebe, and a gray tabby named Aria.
